About this piece
An anatomical heart, finely engraved in the manner of a nineteenth-century atlas, wrapped with care in soft protective ribbon. Wounded but enduring; fragile, but tended rather than broken. Around it a wild tangle of roses, woodland flowers and flowering herbs weaves gently through the bandages, with a few dusty-rose blooms warming the charcoal lines.
The message is simple and old as kindness: everyone is carrying something you can't see. The bandages are not a sign of failure — they're a sign someone, even just yourself, decided to mend.
A quiet thing to wear into rooms full of strangers. A small reminder, against your own chest, to go easy — on them, and on you.
The artwork leans devotional without becoming costume: candle flame, moon phases, and quiet floral ornament arranged like a private altar with excellent table manners.
